Dr. Jim Lukacs
I received my DDS degree from the University of Washington Dental School after working as an engineer at Hanford. For over 25 years, I’ve had the pleasure of providing quality dental care to the individuals and families in the Tri-Cities area. The people, weather and outdoor activities all make this special place my home.
To keep up with continuing developments in dentistry and health care, I maintain an ongoing commitment to continuing dental education. I use the most modern techniques, materials and therapies to treat our patients. I am a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Seattle Study Club and the American Association of Dental Sleep Medicine. Over four years ago, I began treating patients dealing with sleep apnea and snoring who could not tolerate CPAP therapy by using less encumbering dental appliances instead.
I’m known as the “seasoned assistant” in Dr. Lukacs’ office. I’ve been in dentistry for 30 years, 20 of those with Dr. Lukacs. I have the privilege of working with good friends who have become family. The most rewarding part of my job, which brings me great joy, is treating people as I would want to be treated: with friendship, compassion and caring.
My husband and I have raised four children in the Tri Cities and have eight grandchildren. When we’re not with them, we love to work in our yard and garden.
I’ve been with Dr. Lukacs for 26 years. My job involves office, scheduling and financial coordination. I’m the first face you see when you walk in our door, so I get to welcome you to our practice. I love being able to interact with our patients, many of whom have become friends. I leave at the end of the day feeling as though we’ve made a difference in someone’s life and smile.
My husband and I have three grown children between us and seven grandchildren. When I’m not with them or traveling to their sports events, I enjoy scrapbooking and traveling.
I have worked with Dr. Lukacs for nine years. I received my registered dental hygiene degree at CBC. Before coming to work in the practice, I was a patient of Dr. Lukacs’. I am privileged to work alongside a devoted and caring dental staff, bringing our best service every day to our patients. I really enjoy meeting and cultivating relationship with our patients.
My husband and I have two young sons. I love to travel and I will go anywhere. When I’m not traveling, I’m working in my yard and enjoying time with family and friends.
I’ve been with Dr. Lukacs’ practice for three years. I’ve been a dental hygienist for over 20 years. Like Jeannean, I take your x-rays, clean your teeth, educate you on gum disease prevention and keep our patients up to date on dental advances. Good oral hygiene leads to good overall health. I enjoy the relationship I have with my patients.
My husband and I have three children, with one married and two in college. I have many hobbies, including cooking and many outdoor activities with family and friends.
I’ve been with Dr. Lukacs’ practice for four years, beginning as an intern while in school at CBC. I too was a patient first. The best part of my job is learning something new every day about the dental field. My dental philosophy is: “You don’t have to floss all of your teeth; just the ones you want to keep”.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy working on my home and spending time with my family, friends and fiancé.
Safely treating our patients is our number one priority. This involves everything from instrument sterilization and room disinfection for all patients to using individual and disposable supplies. We also use digital radiographs to reduce greatly patient exposure.
